We are pleased to announce the Arival of out long awaited litter.Cala gave birth to 11 lovely pups,3boys and 8 girls.

All pups were given the all clear on their dermoid checks and also we had the luck of all having lovely long ridges.

This litter is a long awaited litter as well as being the first under our affix Blondzpride, the name chosen in memory of our second RR Blondie.

 

Full details of the litter will be added once I am out of plaster; a broken arm and typing don’t mix. !

These questions are designed to make you think carefully whether you have the right environment and the time to take on a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy and also to give you various points to consider.  

I do not prejudge homes or people and my main concerns are that the pups are as happy with you as you are with them; this hopefully means that puppies can be matched to the right homes and also to the new owners’ lifestyle.

I dearly hope that all puppies leaving here will go to homes they can live in forever but if at any point circumstances in the new homes change then we only ask you let us know and we will help in whatever way possible to suite all, but mainly the pup no matter how old will be given priority.

I am a member of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain and also the Midland and Northern club, I will be rearing this litter within their guidelines and would hope that all new owners will also follow the guidelines these clubs set out, they are excellent places for help and advice.

No pup will leave here with out a writen contract

All pups will have correct registration documents.

All will be health checked and coverd by the correct vaccination ,correctly given preventative cover for worms and flea treatmen.

Are you sure this is the breed for you ?   

Not every person is right for a Rhodesian Ridgeback and vice versa.

Have you read up on the breed and also talked to other owners ?

Books are great but personal knowledge is paramount.  It is important to hear the good points but also the perhaps not so good speak to people who have owned and love RRS and hear the “true” stories from some genuine owners; as before don’t just ask the good points – there are many but there can always be another side !

Do you have the time and devotion to own a large breed ?

This breed does not make a happy family member if it only gets your attention and walked at weekends, a walked / Played /T rained / Loved RR is a happy RR and a happy RR makes for very happy owners.

Make sure that this is a family decision

One partner may say I want a Rhodesian Ridgeback and the other says OK to keep the peace but this is a family decision and a family dog and all should and must be able to care for them, perfect example is myself with a broken arm all the family members have helped and the dogs have loved the additional attention ?

Are you the sort of person who will ask for and take advice despite how many dogs you have owned in the past ? –

An RR is like no other, this breed has many of the characteristics of other breeds but never in quite the same way, I have trained dozens of different breeds but none have been like the RR; they respond in a different way and many common training methods only confuse or depress a RR. I have heard so many say that they know what there doing, only for them to say months later HELP !!!! .
